Lark’s Recipe of the Week: Mini Pizza on a Bun

With grilling season just around the corner, I thought I would share a quick way to put those “extra” hamburger/hot dog buns to good use.

With a picky eater in my home who doesn’t want to eat a bun, we always have extras left over. And instead of throwing them out I turned them into lunch for the next day. 🙂

You will need:

Hamburger/Hot dog Buns
1 Can of Pizza Sauce
Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
Any “toppings” you have on hand or like to add: Onion, Pepper, Mushroom’s, Olives, Ham, Pepperoni

Place your oven on broil.
On a cookie sheet place the bun halves. Cook for one minute on each side ’til toasted.? Next start with the sauce, then add any toppings you choose. Top with the cheese. Broil again for 2-3 minutes.
Watch closely so they won’t burn.

Super easy with out any waste.
