Lenard Smith moved to Caliente in 1965, working for the Soil Conservation District. He retired with the SCS and soon after started surveying in 1984. He gained his license and opened up his business in June of 1997.

Lenard specializes in land and water right surveys, which includes subdivisions, parceling, boundary adjustments, record surveys, water right maps, etc. This gives him a unique edge in taking care of the survey needs of our community.?
