One of the busiest stops along Highway 93 in Lincoln County is R-Place in Ash Springs.

Managed by Chris Haslem, R-Place has gasoline, a convenience store, a full menu of food made to order, ice cream and shakes, inside and outside seating, an RV park, and tire shop.

The property was purchased in 1981 by Reed, Inc., which then hired Haslem and her late husband, Andrew R.L. Haslem to move from Ely to Ash Springs and manage the establishment. The couple has been there ever since.

“We have built it up completely, and it is a thriving business,” Haslem said. “I’m proud of what we have done for Reeds.”

R-Place employees 17 people and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
