Walk into Sunshine Creations in Caliente and your eyes will behold a massive inventory of gifts and decorations.

Owned by Trudy Faulkner, the gift shop is an excellent source for specialty foods, balloons, gift baskets, custom made gifts and, most recently, flower bouquets.

Faulkner moved to Caliente from Henderson, where she ran a similar business, and wasted no time starting her business here in Lincoln County. She also wasted no time becoming involved in the community and contributing to good causes, according to her friend, Pat Oconnor, who helps out at the store.

?Anything going on community wise, she donates to it,? Oconnor said.

Faulkner loves being part of the community and helping out.

?Yes, I do,? she said. ?I like to do things for people when I can.?

She is currently involved with the Lincoln County Communities Action Team, as well as Caliente’s beautification and homecoming committees.
