Weather
It should be mostly sunny but chilly on Monday in our county seat with highs barely reaching 30 degrees, according to The Weather Channel. ?PM snow showers are possible on Tuesday in Pioche with highs around 38. ?The rest of the week looks to be sunny with highs reaching the low-to-mid 40s.
In Caliente and Panaca (The Weather Channel forecast seems identical for these two areas), clouds and wind are in the forecast for Monday with highs in the low 40s. ?It looks to be partly cloudy Tuesday with highs in the high 40s. ?The rest off the week should see sunshine with highs in the low-to-mid 50s.
In the Pahranagat Valley and Rachel areas, Monday is shaping up to be partly cloudy with temperatures reaching the low 40s. ?More sunshine is anticipated Tuesday with highs reaching the low 50s. ?Even more sunshine is expected the rest of the week with temps in the high 50s.
Schools
Believe it or not, the regular season for winter sports is winding down.
On Tuesday, PVHS JV boys and varsity girls basketball teams travel to Lund with games starting at 5 p.m.
Wednesday, the PVHS varsity boys host Spring Mountain at 6 p.m.
Thursday, the PVHS JV and varsity boys host Beaver Dam starting at 4:30 p.m. ?Meanwhile, the PVHS varsity girls play host to Parowan, also starting at 4:30 p.m.
On Friday and Saturday, the LCHS and PVHS wrestling teams will be in Ely for their region tournaments.
On Saturday, the LCHS basketball teams host Lake Mead with games starting at 12 p.m. ?Meanwhile, PVHS basketball teams play at Tonopah starting at 1 p.m.

Public Meetings
On Monday, the Lincoln County Commissioner Meeting will be held at 9 a.m. in Pioche. ?The meeting should also be available online at this website:?http://www.lctsys.com/html/lccmportal_live.html
Thursday, the Lincoln Communities Action Team (LCAT) will meet and will be having its annual elections. ?If you’re interested in promoting tourism in our county, this is the board to be involved in.
Seniors
The senior centers throughout the county have a variety of weekly events. ?Check the calendar on the?LCCentral.com homepage?to view dates, events and times.
Agriculture
On Monday, the University Cooperative Extension (UNCE) will host “Great Ideas From Growers”, a discussion forum for farmers, held at the UNCE office in Caliente with a video feed throughout the state.
On Wednesday, the UNCE will host Pesticide Applicator Training starting at 7:45 a.m. and going until 5 p.m.
