Sunshine early last week turned into rain later in the week, contrary to weather reports.  Hey, we’ll take the moisture.

A lot of folks are coming down with colds and flus.  Check out these tips from the CDC on dealing with these illnesses.

Feel better soon!

We’ll also be finding out if we’re in for six more weeks of winter.  Unfortunately, our fate rests on the opinion of a glorified rodent.  Happy Groundhog Day.

Weather

It should be mostly sunny but chilly on Monday in our county seat with highs barely reaching 30 degrees, according to The Weather Channel.  PM snow showers are possible on Tuesday in Pioche with highs around 38.  The rest of the week looks to be sunny with highs reaching the low-to-mid 40s.

In Caliente and Panaca (The Weather Channel forecast seems identical for these two areas), clouds and wind are in the forecast for Monday with highs in the low 40s.  It looks to be partly cloudy Tuesday with highs in the high 40s.  The rest off the week should see sunshine with highs in the low-to-mid 50s.

In the Pahranagat Valley and Rachel areas, Monday is shaping up to be partly cloudy with temperatures reaching the low 40s.  More sunshine is anticipated Tuesday with highs reaching the low 50s.  Even more sunshine is expected the rest of the week with temps in the high 50s.
