Weather
Punxsutawney Phill predicted an early spring this year, and if the last few days are any indication, the little rodent may be on to something. ?However, we may have not quite seen the last of Old Man Winter.
Pioche will be flirting with the 50 degree mark for much of the week. ?However,?The Weather Channel predicts temperatures will drop into the 30s on Friday and Saturday, with a chance of snow.
Caliente and Panaca should expect temps to be in the high 50s through Thursday. ?They should then drop to the 40s on Friday and Saturday with a chance of rain/snow.
In the Pahranagat Valley, expect temps to stay in the low 60s through Thursday, dropping into the 40s on Friday, with a chance of rain, and clearing up by Sunday.
Schools
Pahranagat Valley High School recently completed intercession. ?Students took a variety of courses, including dance, drama, art, broadcasting, and prospecting. ?Students performed their?new found?talents in plays, basketball game halftimes, and on KQLN radio in Alamo.
It is state tournament time for our wrestlers. ?Both LCHS and PVHS wrestling teams will be in Reno on Friday and Saturday at the Reno Livestock Events Center. ?Best of luck to all of our wrestlers.
It is the final week of the regular season for our high school basketball teams. ?Tuesday, LCHS basketball teams will be at White Pine. ?Games start at 5 p.m. ?PVHS varsity basketball teams will be at Adelson, starting at 6 p.m.
On Friday, LCHS basketball will play at Needles, starting at 3 p.m. ?PVHS basketball will host Round Mountain starting at 4:30 p.m.
Saturday, LCHS basketball teams will be in Laughlin, with play starting at noon.
Public Meetings
On Monday, the Lincoln County Commissioner Meeting will be held at 9 a.m. in Pioche. ?The meeting should also be available online at this website:?http://www.lctsys.com/html/lccmportal_live.html
On Tuesday, the Alamo Power District will have its board meeting at 5:30 p.m in the Alamo Power District Board Meeting Room. ?The Alamo Sewer and Water will have its board meeting at 7 p.m in the Alamo Sewer and Water Office.
On Wednesday, the Caliente Planning Commission will meet at 6:30 p.m. in Caliente City Hall.
On Thursday, the American Legion Alamo Post #17 will meet at 1:30 p.m. in the Trinity Assembly of God church.

Healthcare

Leadership Conference
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the University Cooperative Extension will be hosing a Team Building Conference at Star Valley Ranch. ?This event will assist individuals in learning how to work in teams to accomplish goals. ?Contact the UNCE office for more information.
