Weather

We enjoyed warmer weather toward the end of last week, but it looks like things will start to cool down again this week, according to The Weather Channel.

Pioche?should see temperatures reach the high 40s on Monday and Tuesday, with a storm rolling in Tuesday evening. ?Wednesday, look for snow showers and a high temperature of 32 degrees. ?Temps will stay in the 30s for the rest of the week, with another chance of snow on Saturday.

Caliente?and Panaca?will see temps in the mid 50s for Monday and Tuesday. ?There is a good chance for?precipitation?on Wednesday with temperatures dropping to the low 40s. ?Then temps should creep back up to the low 50s the rest of the week with a few showers possible on Saturday.

Pahranagat Valley?will see a high of 58 on Monday. ?Clouds and wind are expected Tuesday with slightly lower temps. ?Wednesday, expect some rain/snow showers and temperatures dropping to the mid 40s. ??The rest of the week should be mostly sunny, with temps hovering in the low 50s.

Schools

Lincoln County’s basketball teams had an exciting weekend of regional basketball in Las Vegas, highlighted by Ryan Rippetoe’s?spectacular 65-foot buzzer beater.

Each team advanced to the state tournament, which will be played in Las Vegas. ?Each team is a 1 seed.

The LCHS girls start things off on Friday with a 2:20 p.m.?contest?against White Pine at the Orleans Arena. ?The LCHS boys follow on the same floor at 4 p.m. against Silver Stage.

The PVHS girls take on Wells at 6:20 p.m. at Chaparral High School. ?Then the PVHS boys follow on the same floor, taking on Jackpot at 8 p.m.

Public Meetings

The Lincoln County Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the Pioche Commission Room.

The Panaca Local Emergency Planning Committee will meet Tuesday at 6 p.m. in Panaca Fire Hall.

Rotary Club

The Rotary Club of Caliente celebrates its 75th Anniversary on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Caliente Senior Center. ?Take a look at?this press release to learn more.

Healthcare

Also, an EMT basics class will be held from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. in Caliente.
