Lincoln County Happenings: Week of April 22, 2013

What's Happening in Lincoln County, NevadaLooks like clear skies throughout the county during this busy week. ?Let’s see what’s coming up.

Weather

Pioche?is expected to see warm weather, with temperatures starting in the high 60s and reaching the mid 70s by Wednesday, which will continue for the rest of the week. ?There will be lots of sunshine and wind speeds from 5 to 8 mph.

Caliente and Panaca?will start Monday in the high 70s, but will see a drop to the mid 60s on Tuesday. ?The rest of the week will see clear skies and temperatures in the mid 70s and reaching the low 80s by Friday, with wind speeds from 6 to 8 mph.

Pahranagat Valley?will be in the high 70s to low 80s with a week full of sunshine and wind speeds between 5 and 8 mph.

Schools

PVES and PVMS will be doing CRT Testing for the week.

Tuesday, PVES Parenting Class: “Love and Logic” will be starting at 9 a.m. ?All parents are invited, child care will be provided.

Also on Tuesday, ?PVHS Baseball and Softball will be playing at home against Lake Mead with games starting at 4 p.m.

Wednesday, PVHS Softball will be at home playing Mountain View at 4 p.m.

On Friday, PVHS Baseball and Softball will be playing at Sandy Valley starting at 1 p.m.

Also on Friday, LCHS Track will be at the White Pine Invitational.

Saturday, PVHS Track will be at the Meadows Invitational.

Also on Saturday, the LCHS Junior Prom will take place at 7 p.m.

The Baseball Alumni vs. LCHS games will on both Friday and Saturday starting at 7 p.m.

Seniors

Tuesday and Thursday, the Pahranagat Valley Senior Center will have their Senior Center Exercise Classes at 9 a.m.

Monday, Caliente Senior Center will be playing Pinochle at 2 p.m.

On Thursday, the Alamo Senior Center will be having a potluck at 6 p.m.

On Friday, The Caliente Senior Center will have Friday Crafters starting at 6 p.m.

The senior centers throughout the county have a variety of weekly events. ?Check the calendar on the?LCCentral.com?homepage?to view dates, events and times.

LCAT

The Lincoln Communities Action Team will meet Thursday, 6:30 p.m. at the Cooperative Extension Office in Caliente. ?There will also be a video conference connection to the meeting in the PVHS library.

Health Nurse

The Public Health Nurse will be in Alamo on Monday and in Caliente on Thursday and Friday.

There will also be?Public Health Nurse Training on Wednesday.

Libraries

On Wednesday, the Pahranagat Valley Library will have Story Time at 3 p.m.
