For students in Lincoln County, convenience and flexibility are two words that describe the online learning opportunities at Great Basin College. GBC understands that many people might wish to enroll in a college class, but are unable to access a college campus. Online course work is ideal for students with busy schedules or for whom access to a traditional campus is simply not a possibility. Hundreds of learners have already enrolled in dozens of online courses being offered at Great Basin College. The opportunity is also available to students in Lincoln County.
Without the regular class meetings that come with a traditional college course, it is possible to study from every community in rural Nevada. Students can continue to work, be a stay at home parent or even leave town for a few days and still take college level courses. The college also offers full associate degree instruction in a variety of areas, including business, health sciences and information technology.
