Budgeted fund transfers approved
County Commissioners during the June 17 regular meeting approved the transfer certain funds from one account to another as budgeted. $10,000 from the Fair and Recreation Board to the Fair Board Fund, $53,319 from the Federal In-lieu Tax Special Revenue Fund to the Building Department Enterprise Fund, and $40,000 from the Federal In-lieu Tax Special Revenue Fund to the Senior Nutrition Fund.
Dixon on Planning Commission Board
Retired Lincoln County Building Department Director Ken Dixon has been appointed as an At Large board member to the Lincoln County Planning Commission.
Nuclear Oversight Program continues contracts
Four contracts with the Lincoln County Nuclear Oversight Program were approved by the County Commissioners on as needed bases with Jason Pitts and Core Geo Data, Vaughn Higbee, Dr. Mike Baughman of Intertech Services, and John McClain of Resource Concepts.
County Health Nurse bills private insurance
The Lincoln County Community Health nurse would like to announce that they can now bill private insurance. The insurance companies are Cigna, Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shield, Health Plan of NV, Aetna and United Health Care.
The services The Lincoln County Community Health Nurse provides are Childhood immunizations for ages two months to 18 years old; well-child services that include WIC hemoglobins, blood lead tests, and fluoride varnish; tuberculosis screening and education, and annual flu vaccines; Family planning, which includes counseling and education, birth control, pregnancy tests.
The Community Health Nurse’s fees are based on a sliding fee scale so that each patient, regardless of income, can afford services. Please present proof of income. The hours are Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the phone number is 775-726-3123.
