
Patricia June Crosthwait, 68, died Wednesday, June 27.
She was born on April 16, 1945 in Sargent, Neb. as Patricia June Dimmitt. She married John V. Crosthwait on April 18, 1965, and they lived together in Las Vegas until July 2003, when they purchased and relocated to Eagle Valley Resort, in Ursine.
Pat was a very loving, thoughtful person who always made time for people in need. She had many friends especially in Las Vegas, Pioche and Ursine and was an advocate for breast cancer awareness. She hosted a cancer walk every year; in October of 2013, the cancer walk will be dedicated to her. Pat had lung cancer but passed away due to intracranial hypertension. Pat is survived by her husband John; two children, Shelli Lange (Bernie) and Vance (Melinda); five grandsons, Cameron, Brandon, Trevin and Chandler Lange and Justin Crosthwait (Justin?s brother is due to arrive in November); and her two brothers, Bob Dimmitt of Monument, Colo. and Ralph Dimmitt of Klamath Falls, Ore. She is preceded in death by her parents Herb and Lucille Dimmitt and her sister Anna Marie Dimmitt of Nyssa, Ore.
A memorial service to celebrate her life was held on Tuesday, July 9, from 4 to 6 p.m. The service was held at Canyon Ridge Christian Church, 6200 W. Lone Mountain Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89130.
A memorial and pot-luck will be held at Eagle Valley Resort, Friday, July 12 at 6 p.m.
