Lucht receives life sentence

Convicted child sex offender John Lucht has been sentenced to life in prison. Lincoln County District Attorney Daniel Hooge said the sentenced was rendered July 12 by 7th Judicial District Court Judge Gary Fairman.

Hooge said Lucht, 34, of Pioche, will not be eligible for possible parole until 2023. He was charged last spring on five counts of sexual assault on a juvenile under the age of 14, and three counts of lewdness with a child under the age of 14.

He pled guilty to one of the counts involving lewdness.
