The 2013 Lincoln County Fair and Rodeo ended last weekend, and Jule Wadsworth, president of the Lincoln County Fair and Rodeo Board, said they had, “a big community turnout,” this year. Around 500 people attended, participated and volunteered. Wadsworth said some of it had to do with, “more events on Saturday. There was more to do.”
The Ranch Rodeo was a new success and attendants said they wanted the event again next year.
The weekend was full of events: the ranch rodeo, saddle bronc, gymkhana, team roping and the rodeo Friday and Saturday nights. Also new this year was the 4H Shooting Sports Trap, and the antique tractor pull.
Runners of the Adventure relay kicked off Saturday with quite a few runners, and some who biked the relay.
A new flag pole was donated by Steve Heiselbetz, and a new flag presented at the opening of the event on Friday evening. Emma Pearson, daughter of Lee and Ellen Pearson, sang the National Anthem after the flag was raised.
