Pioneer Park Phase II approved
County Commissioners approved the signing of a contract with Sunrise Engineering for the Panaca Pioneer Park Phase II project and voted 3-1 on the progress of land acquisition for the park.

Also approved was the granting of the Senior Services Nutrition award from the Aging and disability Services Division for a supplemental amount of $7,883.

Celebrations of Life
A celebration of the life of Don L. Bradshaw will be held down Rainbow Canyon at the End of the Rainbow Canyon Ranch on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 1 p.m. A luncheon will be provided along with an afternoon of sharing memories.

A celebration of the life of Virginia “Judy” Summerlin will be held at the Overland hotel and saloon on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 5 p.m. Friends of Judy are invited to share their memories.

4-H BBQ and Awards Ceremony
The University of Nevada Cooperative Extension and Lincoln County 4-H Council is holding an Awards ceremony Sept. 20 at the Kershaw Ryan State Park at 5 p.m. Park fee entries are waived for this event.

The awards barbecue will give the communities in Lincoln County a chance to meet, greet and enjoy a great barbecue with side dishes. We will share the accomplishments of the 4-H youth for their hard work, with cash prizes awarded to the County Fair blue ribbon winners, top exhibitor, top 4-Her, shooting sports top “hot shots.” There is also acknowledgements and awards to 4-H leaders.
