Pahranagat Valley girls volleyball has stepped to the front of the class on the strength with their two wins in Division IV Southern league play.

On Tuesday this week, they swept the Adelson School Lions in Alamo by scores of 25-7, 25-15, 25-9. Combine that with their 3-0 win at Beatty last week, and the Panther girls lead the league with a 2-0 mark, 15-2 on the season.

On Sept. 17 at Alamo, they took on Division III White Pine and engineered a 3-0 win.

Traci Strong had 14 kills, 14 digs and five aces to help the Panthers to a 25-12, 26-24, 26-24 sweep of the Bobcats.

Bailee Hosier added 29 digs and 11 kills, and Kennedy Huntsman had 20 assists and four aces for Pahranagat Valley, which got 16 digs from Brook Higbee.

The team had a non-league game at Sunrise Mountain this Thursday, then at home Sept. 27 to face newcomer Word of Life, and host Moapa Valley on Oct. 1.
