Layout plan for Panaca airport approved
County Commissioners gave approval to two actions at the Oct. 7 Board meeting, approving the Panaca Airport Layout Plan Scope of Work for Armstrong Consultants in the amount of $79,407, and approving the required match of $4,963 for the layout plan update.

Senior meal service receives grant money
The Lincoln County Senior Services Home Delivered Meals Program will receive a grant award of $67,010 with a designated match of $9,214, and a grant of $30,000 with a designated required match of $3,265.

Dixon returns as City flood plain manager
The City of Caliente approved at their normal meeting Oct. 3 to hire Ken Dixon as their floodplain manager, as well as reinstating him as the City Building Inspector. The city realized the need for a certified floodplain manager for upcoming projects.

Birth announcement
Summer and Steve Pearce of Alamo, welcome the newest addition to their family, Abigail Jane Pearce, born Thursday, Sept. 26 around 7:45 a.m. Abigail is eight pounds, one ounce, and 19.5? long, and has a big sister to meet, Kaylee. Proud grandparents Dominique and Ellecia Slone and Nora Buck all reside in Alamo.
