
Kenneth Ray Dodd
Kenneth Ray Dodd was born July 23, 1953 in Caliente, Nev. Kenny passed away on Wednesday Nov. 27 in his home in Hiko, Nev. Kenny is survived by his pop Jerome Baslington; children Summer Pearce and Samuel Dodd; and his siblings Merle Dodd, Jerri Leigh Hammons, and Reed Dodd.
Kenny grew up in Hiko and attended school in Pahranagat Valley and graduated from Pahranagat Valley High School. Kenny was a strong athlete and excelled at basketball and baseball.
From 1972 to 2005 Kenny worked as a miner in many places such as Nevada, Montana, Arkansas, California, Washington, Utah, Ohio, Alaska, and Arizona. Kenny excelled at mining and sought it in his spare time as a hobby as well. He liked nothing better than to grab his dog and head out into the bush to camp and prospect.
Kenny loved to read many different kinds of books and loved his Seattle Seahawks football. Kenny also loved to spend time with his granddaughters. Kenny was able to tell a story well and he was a true friend and always willing to help others. He was warm and loving and will be very missed.
A grave site service will be held on Saturday Dec. 7, at 11 a.m. at the Schofield Family cemetery in Hiko, Nev.
