Dear Editor,

I think that it is time that the City of Caliente officials get busy, and take care of some of the things that has been lingering under attended for years instead of fighting with one another. I did not vote for anyone to fight; when I voted for them, it was in hopes that they would do other things in the city. For example, Ordinance No. 138 is not worth the paper that it is written on. More ordinances are being put in place and they can?t even enforce the ones that already exist. It seems that this ?hob-nobbing? has caused nothing but trouble.

My husband and I hand carried a letter plus an ordinance format and gave one to each one of the Councilman regarding cats in November of 2008. It is now 2014, six years later, and nothing ahs been done. There is an ordinance already in place about animals running at large.

So, it seems to me that the cats run the City while the City Officials fight.

What a mess.
