Lincoln County girls softball maintained their lead in the Division III Southern League on Tuesday as Aspen Wilkin tossed a five-inning one-hitter in the opener, and Chelsea Lloyd followed with a five-inning one-hitter in the nightcap as the Lady Lynx swept the second place Mountain View Saints. Scores were 24-1 and 15-5.

Lloyd went 4-for-5 with a home run and a double, and Kaylee Teel homered in the opener for Lincoln County, which also got six RBIs from Tanji Tibbitts.

After spotting Mountain View (6-10, 4-2) a run in the first inning of the opener, Lincoln began to hammer out the hits, scoring 13 runs in the second inning, and Wilkin went to work retiring batter after batter.

The Lynx (13-2, 8-0) accounted for 24 hits in the five-inning game.

In the nightcap, Lincoln opened with 11 runs in the first inning and Lloyd handcuffed the Saints with a one-hitter.

Easton Tingey hit a two-run homer, and Teel and Bailey Free each had two hits and two RBIs for the Lynx.

Last week, Lincoln gave Laughlin a pretty good spanking in league action, shutting out the Cougars in two games by scores of 20-0 and 14-0.

Lincoln played at Dixie High in St. George, Utah on Thursday this week, and during Spring Break next week, April 17-19, will participate in the Centennial Spring Jamboree at Majestic Park in Las Vegas.
