Approval of a motion for a contract with Mesquite Electric, LLC in the amount of $127,650 for installation of a new heating, ventilation and cooling system at the Panaca Town Center was given by County Commissioners on April 7.

However County Building Director Cory Lytle said at the time the plan is to work with Mesquite Electric to turn it over to where the County purchases the materials and be able to save sales tax. He said this will cut nearly $5,000 off the cost, and he will then come back to Commissioners at a future meeting with a change order of the total.

The bulk of the money is expected to come from what the Lincoln County Water District is paying as part of its 10-year lease with the County for space in the building.
