Single vehicle Oak Springs rollover results in minor injuries

A single vehicle rollover occurred on U.S. Highway 93 on the Oak Springs Summit May 15 at 7:30 p.m.

Lincoln County Sheriff Kerry Lee said the southbound vehicle was occupied by the Jared Carter family of Lund.?

Nevada Highway Patrol reported the driver lost control, drifted off the road and rolled over. Alcohol was not a factor in the accident. The driver was cited for failure to use due care.

The Caliente Fire Volunteer Fire Department and ambulance responded along with an ambulance from Panaca, Highway Patrol and the Sheriff?s Department.

All four people, two adults, one juvenile and one child, were taken to Grover C. Dils Medical Center and treated for minor injuries.

Traffic was stopped for a time in both directions while debris was removed from the roadway.
