Dear Editor,

My name is Robert Hansen, in late January my wife, Teresa, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

The response we have received from this community has been phenomenal.?

Teri and I both believe the faith and prayers which have been towards Teri is one of the reasons the cancer can?t be found in her pancreas, where it started.

Although we have a hard fight battling the cancer in her liver, hips, back and shoulder, the kindness and friendship bestowed upon us has made an unbearable situation bearable.

A few weeks ago the Pioche Fire Department held a benefit dinner for Teri. From what I understand the Panaca and Caliente Fire Departments were involved as well as the Sheriff?s Department.

A lot of people went through a lot of trouble for my wife. We both appreciate so very much. I wish I knew of a way I could express our gratitude better.
