Laura was born April 27, 1916 in Zurich, Switzerland to Laurence Parley Wright of Ogden, Utah and Anna Hafner Wright of Zurich, and passed away Oct. 7, in Pioche. Laura moved to the United States at the age of three.
She resided in Southern California until she moved to Las Vegas in 1949. She worked in the hotel industry and enjoyed her job, as she loved being around other people. She retired in 1992 and dedicated her time to her family. In 2007, she moved to Pioche along with her son and daughter-in-law, where she enjoyed being outside in the fresh air. She had a contagious smile and a loving heart. She touched the lives of all those who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joaquin Bravo, and her sons Gene Ivey and Robert Ivey. She is survived by her daughter Carol Tobalski of Seal Beach, Calif.; son Gary Ivey, of Seal Beach, Calif.; her son Wes and daughter-in-law Diane Morton of Pioche; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
While we miss her dearly, we know she is with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and that we will be with her again.
A memorial service will be held at the Caliente Community United Methodist Church on Nov. 11 at 1 p.m.
