Kershaw Ryan hosted the annual Pumpkins in the Park last week. The state park invites visitors to enjoy pumpkin painting, and a haunted hike. Usually the drama students of the high school help with the hike, however this year, they were working on their fall play that debuted last week.
Visitors did enjoy the pumpkin-painting experience. Guests were invited to pick out their favorite pumpkin they wanted to paint, and spooky decorations were placed around a short walk for the haunted hike.
New this year was the outdoor showing of a movie for visitor’s viewing pleasure. In theme with Halloween, the park aired, “Hotel Transylvania,” a PG cartoon.
Park Supervisor Andrew Parker gave thanks to all those who attended, participated and helped out with the event.
