lcr 11-14-14Playing on her home court, The Meadows Dani Otter had 24 kills, seven blocks and three aces in leading her team to a 21-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-16 close fought win over the Lincoln County Lynx at the Division III Southern tournament last Saturday.

Brooke Brennan added 18 digs, nine blocks, three aces and three blocks for The Meadows 20-13), and teammate Missy Siegel had 29 assists and 15 digs.

Lincoln County (19-11) was led by Chesnee Harding’s 12 assists, seven digs and four aces. Kayla Mathews added eight kills, six digs and two aces, and Cameron Lloyd served six aces for the Lynx.

Lincoln had beaten The Meadows 2-0, and 2-1 in league play in early October, but this match was on Meadows home floor and Otter showed her best work.

White Pine (24-5) won the other semi-final 3-1 over Calvary Chapel (20-12), then went on to beat The Meadows 3-1 to extend its winning streak to 18-games. Both teams advance to the state tournament this weekend in Reno.

At State, White Pine plays Incline (11-7) at Wooster High on Friday, followed by The Meadows and defending state champion Yerington (34-2). The championship is Saturday at Galena High.
