After last week?s decision by the Pioche Chamber of Commerce to cancel the 110th annual Pioche Labor Day Celebration, many volunteers have stepped forward to assist organizing the event. Tuesday?s Chamber of Commerce meeting at the Silver Cafe was standing room only as volunteers shared their ideas and former committee leaders shared their experiences.

Christy Blood and Kristina Lloyd were nominated as co-chairs of the 2015 celebration committee, and are planning a Labor Day meeting for Feb. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Pioche Town Hall. All residents interested in volunteering are asked to join the meeting to get the planning and organization underway.
