Chris, who arrived in late March, is familiar with coordinating with local, state and other federal agencies; and understands the needs of local communities and the significance of being an effective partner. Chris has been with the BLM for seven years and in resource management for 18 years. He comes to Nevada an experienced planner and manager having worked as BLM Wyoming planning and National Environmental Policy Act lead and as BLM Oregon/Washington, Spokane District planning and environmental coordinator.
“Chris is known for his constructive approach to challenges, ability to find common ground, and commitment to building strong relationships in and outside the field office,” Michael Herder, BLM Ely District Manager, said.
A mining and railroad history buff, Chris spends much of his personal time exploring with his Border collie or riding a mountain bike.
