Investigators have said little about how the Caliente resident was killed, but said they are looking to question at least one person in connection with the death.
Hullinger was found May 25 when the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 200 Miller Lane in Caliente to conduct a welfare check of a resident.
The responding officer found a deceased adult female inside the apartment. Sheriff Kerry Lee said due to the nature of the injuries the scene was treated as a suspicious death.
A preliminary investigation was started, and the body was transported to the Clark County Coroner’s Office in Las Vegas for an autopsy. The death was ruled as a homicide.
Lee said his department requested help investigating the slaying, and that personnel from the Las Vegas Metro Police Crime Scene Unit arrived to help with additional processing of the scene. Numerous pieces of evidence, including photographs, fingerprints and DNA evidence were collected.
In addition, multiple interviews have been conducted with people who might have information about the crime.
