Following Pearson was Stephen Tichenor of Reno (2:02:45) and Damon Bush of Overton (2:04:48).
Several other locals raced in the event in various ability and age classes.
On the club’s Facebook page, Groundshakers president Dave Martin of Las Vegas specifically thanked the City of Caliente and “all it’s residents” as well as the Caliente Fire Department “for the fabulous dinner Saturday afternoon – and the fire truck escort to each race start line.” Martin also thanked various businesses, organizations, individuals and members for their support and participation.
He had high praise for Caliente and plans to show the club’s appreciation by returning for the Fourth of July festivities and entering a Groundshakers float into the city’s parade Saturday morning.
Martin also intends to stop in Alamo Friday afternoon to participate in the town’s annual quad barrel races at the Alamo Rodeo Grounds.
The Groundshakers race is part of the Motorcycle Racing Association of Nevada’s 2015 Desert Series. The series’ next Lincoln County race will be the Silverstate Trail Blazers – National Hare and Hound on Aug. 22 in Panaca.
