Award-winning author Liz Adair announces the launch of her new romantic suspense, The McCarran Collection. Adair is the author of the popular Spider Latham Mysteries, and the first three of the series were set in Lincoln County. “I moved to Kanab, Utah,” Adair says, “and ol’ Spider had to move with me.” The fourth Spider Latham mystery is set in Kanab and St. George, Utah.

Adair took a break from the mystery series to write a stand-alone book. “There’s a little more romance in this book,” Adair says, but she goes on to say that there’s also guy stuff like off-road racing and a car chase.

The back cover blurb on The McCarran Collection reads: Bridget Olasfson, a beautiful archivist with a painful secret, comes to Utah’s brilliant red rock country to catalog the McCarran Collection. She finds herself caught up in a dangerous intrigue involving a lost boy, a drug cartel, and possibly murder. What will she do when the only way to save the boy is to give up the man she loves?

Adair says her goal is to write a good story, one that is a page turner and that is crafted well, but also one that will highlight the southwestern. “I hope I’ve managed that with The McCarran Collection,” she says. Her books are available in softcover and ebook at Look for her fourth Spider Latham mystery, Trouble at the Red Pueblo, to be out in audiobook this fall.
