Beverly Jean Cheeney, 83, passed away peacefully at her home in Alamo on Sept. 27, 2015. She was born Dec. 18, 1931 in Meridian, ID to Lester Leon and Viola Starr Adams. She married LeRoy Strong in Idaho, they had seven children and later divorced. She married Lawrence Cheeney in Las Vegas, they were later sealed in the Las Vegas LDS Temple.

Beverly grew up in the Twin Falls and Boise Idaho area. She raised her family in Boise until 1973 when they relocated to Pioche, finally settling in Alamo in 1976. She worked as the lunchroom lady at the Alamo school. She was devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren. She loved Panther sports, cheering for her posterity, talking about her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed traveling, trips with her daughters and cruises. She had a great love for her Savior and found great strength from serving others.

Survivors include her husband, Lawrence of Alamo; five sons and three daughters, Roylee (Adora) Strong of Nampa, ID; William (Claudia) Strong of Gig Harbor, WA; Donald (Sue) Strong of Groten, CT; Jaqueline (Joe) Faso of Boise, ID; Linda (Kent) Hansen of Carlin, NV; Lisa (Kyle) Hunt of Pioche; Michael (Tracy) Strong, and Shawn Cheeney both of Alamo; 20 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers, three sisters, one granddaughter and one great granddaughter.

Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Alamo LDS Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the chapel. Interment will follow in the Alamo Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book atwww.moapavalleymortuary.com
