Coming off an exciting overtime win at The Meadows the previous week, Lincoln County High School’s football team didn’t have a chance to keep the momentum going. The Lynx game against Calvary Chapel last Friday was canceled.
“They only have 15 kids for football and had 3 out for injuries,” said Coach Rich Ottley. “They didn’t feel like they could safely play us with only 12 kids.”
This is the second canceled game for the Lynx. Their season-opener on Aug. 28 against Quest Academy was canceled for the same reason.
Lincoln improves to three wins and one loss on the season and is scheduled to host Battle Mountain tonight at 7 p.m. in Panaca.
