Eagle Valley Resort raised money to fight ovarian and breast cancer at its annual Cancer Walk on Saturday.

About 25 participants signed up for the walk, which was the expected turnout of participants. The walk departed Eagle Valley Resort and led to Spring Valley State Park Reservoir, a particularly scenic route.

Most participants walked back to the resort but support was available for those that only desired to make the one-way commute. Many participants were walking for someone in their life that suffered of ovarian or breast cancer. There were people of all ages walking for the cause.

Eagle Valley Resort had a wide arrangement of prizes and gifts, all donated by local businesses, and a potluck lunch was provided for participants as well. This is an annual event, always hosted by Eagle Valley Resort, so readers are invited to watch for the event in 2016 and register to walk for the cause.
