Great Basin College is offering online driver’s education for students under age 18 seeking their initial driver’s license throughout the year.
Those who complete the course are issued a certificate from Great Basin College that is accepted by the Nevada DMV as proof of obtaining 30 hours of driver’s education.
Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles requires drivers under 18 to complete a driver education course before receiving their driver’s license.
This year’s last section of driver’s education is a 6 and a half-week course scheduled to run Nov. 3 – Dec. 19 instructed by Joe de Braga.
The course is taught online, and students can work at their own pace through the ten modules. The course fee is $50.
Students must apply for admission to Great Basin College at www.mygbcnv.edu or by visiting one of the GBC campus centers before enrolling for the upcoming driver’s education class # 89713.
It is advised that students apply soon, as it takes up to 48 hours for applications to be processed. Once students are enrolled, they will receive a letter explaining how to log on to the driver’s education online classroom.
