Lynx boys begin basketball season in ?rebuilding? mode

A lot of question marks hover around this year?s Lincoln County High School boys basketball team.

Gone are most of the players from last year?s group that went 13-13 overall and 12-4 in Division III Southern League play. The only player returning is senior Sam Anderson.

?We are in a rebuilding stage right now, so it?s too early to tell what the season will look like,? said coach Matt Cameron, who was the league?s Coach of the Year last year.

The Lynx finished last season with a tough loss to The Meadows, 58-55, during the regional semifinals.

How this season plays out depends on how quickly new players develop and come together as a team.

?I?m looking forward to the season,? Cameron said. ?We?ve got a league tournament this weekend, so it?ll be easier to judge.?

The new-look Lynx take the floor for this weekend at the Lake Mead Holiday Classic tournament in Henderson.
