Pioche’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting is the ultimate small town Christmas event, and a favorite to many locals during the holiday season.

On Monday, the town met at the park at the top of Pioche to light up the traditional town Christmas tree. Santa arrived on the fire truck and children took turns making their Christmas requests from his lap. Hot chocolate with whip cream and sprinkles were served and everyone roasted marshmallows for S’mores.

The Pioche Chamber of Commerce has kept this tradition alive for more than thirty years, and it always ignites the Christmas spirit in Pioche.
