Panaca Elementary students performed their annual Christmas program on Dec. 8 at the Neldon C. Mathews Center.
The production was an arrangement of cheerful music and dance involving every student from preschool through sixth grade. It also included a Christmas play, casted from the sixth grade class. The program was particularly special because the students sang most of the music throughout the production, and most were new songs they had to learn.
The school had been practicing and rehearsing since early November and the hard work paid off as every song, dance, and line was spot-on. The school performed the production at 2 and 6:30 p.m., and the auditorium was filled to the brim during the evening production. Pete Peterson, principal of Panaca Elementary, always says it takes a village to do most things in our small communities, and he would agree there were many hands contributing to the success of this year’s production.
The Mathews Center overflowed with Christmas spirit and holiday cheer as expected every year from Panaca Elementary’s Christmas program.
