The Lincoln County High School basketball team defeated White Pine at home Tuesday night 62-57.

The Lynx were down eight at the half, but outscored White Pine 14-9 in the third quarter and then 21-13 in the fourth.

“We shot really well from the free throw line in the second half,” coach Matt Cameron said. Lincoln made 10 of 14 from the line in the half.

Kobe Walker netted six three pointers on his way to 23 points. Elijah Harr added 18 points for the Lynx. Sam Stewart led White Pine with 17 points.

Last Friday the boys lost at Agassi Prep 72-28. Agassi impressed with a 33-point first quarter. “It was a tough game,” Cameron said. “They are very young but athletic and play tough defense.” Walker scored nine points for the Lynx. For Agassi, Akeemis Williams had 21 points. “We struggled against the press, but I felt we grew as a team,” Cameron added.

Lincoln is at Lake Mead tonight with tip-off at 6 p.m. Tomorrow the team heads to Mountain View for a 3 p.m. game.
