The Lincoln County High School girls basketball team came away from last weekend’s games with two more wins.
Last Friday the Lady Lynx defeated Lake Mead in Henderson 59-16. “We got to play all twelve girls we took,” coach Ken Thornock said. Kailey Kelly was the leading scorer for the Lynx with 16 points. She added four rebounds and three steals. Brynlee Wadsworth had 13 points, four steals and a rebound.
The next day at Mountain View Lincoln again won handily, 55-26. “We started slow,” Thornock said. “But got things going after the first quarter.” Savannah Harr lead the Lynx with 14 points, seven rebounds, six steals and five assists. Hannah Hafen and Keely Jackson had 12 points each. Hafen also had three rebounds and an assist. Jackson had eight rebounds, five steals, and an assist.
The Lady Lynx are now 18-2 and remain undefeated in Division III Southern League play (10-0). They are at Calvary Chapel (7-8, 3-6) today at 4:30 p.m. and head to The Meadows (3-11, 2-8) the next day for a 1:30 p.m. matchup.
