Centennial Spring Jamboree

The Lincoln County High School softball team competed at the Centennial Spring Jamboree in Las Vegas Thursday through Saturday last week.

The team went up against some tough competition, losing four games and winning one. On Thursday the Lady Lynx lost to Southwest (Calif.) 11-0 and to Basic 8-4. On Friday, the team went up against Garfield (Calif.), losing 6-2, and defeated Poly (Calif.) 5-2.

During the final game of the tournament, Lincoln lost to Bell 7-5.

Lincoln had a Tuesday (March 29) doubleheader scheduled against Mountain View in Panaca, but it was cancelled due to weather. The games will be rescheduled later in the season.

The Lady Lynx are now 6-7 overall and 2-0 in league play. The team is at Agassi Prep (1-5-0, 0-4-0) for a doubleheader today starting at 1 p.m. in Las Vegas.
