The Lincoln County High School baseball team beat Needles in both games of a doubleheader last Friday in Panaca.

The Lynx won the first game 7-2 and the second 9-1. Needles actually led the first game 2-1 after four innings. Then lincoln scored six unanswered runs, two in each remaining inning. Kobe Walker started on the mound and pitched five innings, with Nick Vincent finishing out.

In the second game Lincoln led throughout, scoring three runs in the first inning, two in the second, two in the fourth, one in the fifth and one in the sixth. Mike Wood pitched all seven, giving up four hits and striking out four.

The Lynx are now 9-5 overall and 8-0 in the Division III Southern League. Next up is a doubleheader at home against Calvary Chapel (1-9, 1-5) starting at 1 p.m.
