Both high school track teams were at the Grant Bushman Invitational at Moapa Valley High School on Friday for the final meet of the regular season.

For Lincoln County High School, only about a third of the team participated meet due to a music trip to California.

The Lynx competed at the Ely Invitational the previous week. It was a smaller event with three other teams competing, including Division III West Wendover and White Pine and Division IV Jackpot.

Official results for the boys were not yet available, but the team said it looks like they finished second overall at the meet.

On the girls side, Amy Thomas finished second in the 200 meters with a time of 29.08 seconds and second in the 400 meters at 1 minute 6.95 seconds. The 4×100 meter relay team was second at 59.34 seconds, the 4×200 team was also second with a time of 2:05.13 and the 4×800 team was second at 12:37.2.

Pahranagat Valley High School competed at The Meadows last Wednesday, April 27 with eight other schools from Division IV and III. For the boys, Danny Heredia was third in Division IV in the 3200 meters with a time of 13:57.68. On the girls side, Jessica Harrington was first in the division in the 400 meters with a time of 1:16.04. She also was first in the long jump with a distance of 11 feet 4.5 inches.

Madison Mathews finished first in the 800 meters with a time of 3:09.8.

Pahranagat coach Lark Harrington said so far every team member is on point to qualify for state.
Division III and IV regionals are next Friday and Saturday in Boulder City.
