
Delores Wadsworth Horlacher passed?away peacefully on Monday May 2,?2016 at age 82, while in the loving care?of her husband,?Pete Horlacher.?She was born?June 22, 1933 in?Panaca, Nevada?to James and Lois?Wadsworth.
After graduating from Lincoln County High?School in 1951, Delores attended the?University of Nevada, Reno for two years?on a scholarship. She then married her?high school sweetheart and life-long companion, Pete Horlacher, in the St. George?Temple on June 12, 1953. They eventually?settled in Las Vegas and raised their six?children. Delores was a homemaker,?bookkeeper for Pete?s contracting business and an occasional substitute teacher.?Delores was a life-long student of?the gospel of Jesus Christ and enjoyed?spending her spare time reading and?studying. She also was a well regarded?teacher of the gospel, having spent many?years teaching Gospel Doctrine classes?and Seminary.
She had quietly and gracefully endured many years of affliction from?Multiple Sclerosis which prevented her?from walking for the past 30 years. During these years she derived great pleasure from hosting many family reunions?at her home in Panaca and watching her?grandkids and others enjoy the backyard ? sometimes referred to as ?Pete?s?Park?. The care provided to Delores by?her husband was an example to all of?unwavering devotion and enduring love.
Delores was preceded in death by?her parents, brother David, and sisters Theresa, Edna and Martha. She is?survived by her loving husband and?companion Pete, children Mark, Kent?(Hanah), Lisa, Susan, Glen (Kellee),?Wayne (Mary) and foster daughter Lillie?Blackmountain Mexican, as well as her?brother Leo Wadsworth (Kathy) and sister Ina Wimsatt (George). She will also?be missed by her 17 grandchildern and?13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on?Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Panaca LDS?1st Ward Chapel. A viewing will be held?Saturday, May 7 th from 9:30 ? 10:30 am?at the Church.
