Dr. Rich Studebaker will present an original drama, ?Then They Met Jesus,? at 5 p.m. this Sunday evening at Christian Bible Fellowship Church in Alamo. The presentation is open to all members of the community.
The one-man play seeks to answer the question, ?What might it have been like to have met Jesus face-to-face?? Answers are provided through the eyes and lives of three biblical characters who did meet Jesus. Their stories highlight the teaching of Jesus and His ministry to the people around Him. The lives of those who met Jesus then challenge us to meet Him in a fresh way now.
Dr. Studebaker earned his Ph.D. in Historical Theology at Trinity International University (Deerfield, Illinois). He is an ordained minister, having served in pastoral ministry for more than twenty-five years. He has been the pastor of the Fairhaven (Ohio) Community Church since 2007. In addition to traveling for four years with the Genesians from Bethel College (Mishawaka, Indiana), Rich has written, acted in and/or directed numerous plays while serving in seven churches and two Christian schools. His solo drama ministry has taken him to churches and camps in eleven states. He presented a different program just this past Wednesday evening at Agape Baptist in Caliente.
There is no admission charge to see ?Then They Met Jesus.? A free will offering will be received. A spaghetti feed will follow in the church basement. Everyone is invited.
