Lincoln County Magazine was awarded Best Niche Magazine by the Nevada Press Association in the Community division.

The award was given at the NPA’s annual banquet on Saturday.

The magazine is a sister publication of the Lincoln County Record, both owned by Battle Born Media, and comes out several times each year. It focuses on interesting people, places and events in Lincoln County.

Ben Rowley and Rydan Banis of Nevada Central Media oversee the production and distribution of the magazine. Rowley handles the editorial content, while Banis does layout and artwork design.

“We were excited to learn Lincoln County Magazine received the NPA award,” Rowley said. “It’s a lot of work to produce the magazine, but it’s also a lot of fun, and we appreciate the recognition.”

Rowley thanked all those who have contributed to the publication, including writers, editors, advertisers and salespeople.

“I particularly want to thank Rydan,” Rowley added. “He is a talented artist, and his contributions to this and the various other work we do are much appreciated.”
