Eagle Valley Resort held its 16th Annual Cancer Walk on Saturday morning.
All proceeds raised went to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.
Participants paid $25 to join the walk and also received a Walk for the Cause T-shirt. Eagle Valley Resort Marjie Smith said the walk started at the resort and went up to the Spring Valley Reservoir.
Raffle tickets were also sold to raise additional money for prizes donated by local businesses.
?We received a great response from local businesses,? Smith said. ?More than 20 local businesses donated cash and prizes to the event. The businesses made donations directly to our two charities and donated prizes for our walkers who purchased raffle tickets for the prizes. All businesses who contributed were put into a separate drawing to win an ad in the Lincoln County Record. Business raffle winner was Lincoln County Telephone.?
The walker raffle winners were September Barnes, Marjie Smith, Ronda Hornbeck, Julie Bryant, Whitney Barnes, Lisa Hunt, Chassey Scott, Wendy Troendle, Afton Pratt, Melissa Free, Missey Cheeney, Tami Rodrick and Bill Linville.
