The seventh annual Pumpkin Patch will kick-off on Saturday. This event is brought to the community by the Caliente Community United Methodist Church.

Volunteers are always needed to help unload the semi-truck, which will be happening on Saturday at 8 a.m. Later that day there will be a bounce house, games, free popcorn and the ever-popular hay ride, and of course, great pumpkins!

Other special events include time with Ranger Andrew Porter from Kershaw Ryan State Park on Oct 20 who will be telling us all about “spooky spiders” from 7 to 8 p.m. There will be a presentation, crafts and goodies. On Friday the Oct. 28, there will be a bake sale, another hay ride and games, plus a Halloween Fashion Show. Parents should bring their children in costume to walk the runway for audience appreciation. The kids will love being able to show off their costumes.
