Upwards of 300 attended the Lincoln County Together, A Celebration of Music and Prayer, at the Caliente Fire Hall last Sunday.
Purposely planned just before election day, the non-denominational, all denominational service, did emphasize wisdom in voting on election day, but also for unity on other issues that have been of concern to Lincoln County residents for some time.
Karen Culverwell and Sherrie Mathews provided prelude and postlude piano music. The invocation was given by Lay Speaker Richard Orr of the Caliente United Methodist Church. Panaca Bible Talk Church presented two vocal numbers, a prayer was offered by Deacon Patrick FitzSimons of Holy Child Catholic Church in Caliente, singer Andy Robinson presented two songs on his guitar, LDS Stake President Paul Mathews offered the main prayer, the Bella Voce Community Choir presented two songs, including an all-sing number, and Pastor Becky Eizman of Trinity Assembly of God Church in Alamo gave the benediction.
