Freshman Sadie Soderborg goes up for a shot in action last weekend. The Lady Lynx are undefeated in league play so far.

The Lincoln County High School girls basketball team has been performing extremely well.

The Lady Lynx are 3-0 in league games and 6-1 overall.

Last weekend the team played at Mountain View and Lake Mead, crushing both teams. Lincoln beat Mountain View by 39 points, 46-7. The first period looked like a shoot around. The Lady Lynx scored bucket after bucket and wouldn’t slow down. Their defense was just as strong as they held Mountain View scoreless the whole first period and took 25-point lead into halftime.

A lot of players were involved offensively, with seven players scoring. Freshman Sadie Soderborg led the way with ten points. Senior Kia Phillips and junior Kailey Kelley each had nine. Senior Kristal Jackson had eight points.

At Lake Mead, Lincoln took a 10-7 lead in the first quarter and then outscored the opponent 22-3 in the second. The Lady Lynx cruised to a 60-25 win.
Kelley led the way with 19 points. Jackson had 13 and Soderborg 11.
The team looks to continue its hot streak with league games at Calvary Chapel, (tonight, 5 p.m.), The Meadows (tomorrow, 1:30 p.m.). Calvary is 2-3 overall and 1-1 in league play. Meadows is 3-4, 1-2.
The team travels to Alamo for a non-league matchup Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
