Two adults suspected of a road rage shooting on the I-15 freeway near Love’s Truck Stop at the U.S. 93 interchange were arrested March 6 near Alamo, after being stopped by Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies and Nevada Highway Patrol.
Sheriff Kerry Lee said the shooting incident happened somewhere on the freeway and both cars turned off at the truck stop. The shooter then fled the scene and was reported heading north on 93.
The suspect vehicle, a tan Toyota minivan with Idaho plates was later spotted at mile marker 17, not far from the county line. The vehicle was stopped about noon and the occupants, three juveniles and two adults, names and ages not given, were taken into custody along with several firearms.
Lee said his office received additional help from NHP and Moapa Tribal Police.
No injuries resulted from the shooting on the freeway, targeting a blue pickup truck, name and age of occupant not given. Lee did not think any of the shooting took place at the truck stop.
